Toddler inflatables

A toddler unit is a smaller inflatable for smaller people. It is the honest choice when the guest of honor still naps.

The moonwalks in this guide are mostly posted for a wide age band, often about 2–14, with the strong advice that those ages take turns. That still leaves a two-year-old birthday in a strange spot: the child is technically inside the range and physically inside a jumper built for kids who can get a real bounce. Toddler inflatables exist so you can skip that compromise. Austin Bounce House Rentals keeps them in a separate category. They are lower, smaller, and meant for the little end of a guest list.

Use one when the invitations are mostly preschool and under, when older cousins are a rumor, or when you want the toddlers to have a place that is not the inside of the big moonwalk during the big-kid turn. Walls are shorter. Entrapment and climb-outs are the things the manufacturer and the company designed around. You still watch them. A lower wall is not a substitute for an adult. It is a softer place to need one.

Footprints are gentler on tight yards, which is why people with a courtyard ask. Measure anyway. A toddler unit still needs level ground, a path from the truck, and stakes or the tie-down method the listing requires. Overhead clearance is less dramatic than a slide and still includes branches at kid-grab height. One outlet remains the likely power story. Confirm it on the item, especially if a moonwalk is running beside it. Two blowers, two plugs.

Do not put the elementary kids in the toddler unit to “wear them out.” They will not fit the design, and they will teach the toddlers a rougher game. If both ages are truly invited, rent both categories or enforce turns on a standard moonwalk with a strict size split. The who-jumps note on this guide is the longer sermon. The short version is: the unit should match the bodies.

Themes still show up — animals, soft characters, shapes a two-year-old can name. The same inventory-label caution applies. You are renting vinyl, not a licensing deal. Shoes off, no food, no sharp toys, no pets. Sippy cups stay outside. The safety page on the booking site covers the company’s rules; toddler units do not get a looser set because the riders are cute.

Parents of toddlers also need a place to stand that is not inside the unit. Leave a perimeter. The blower is still noisy. Point it away from the spot where someone is trying to sing.

This guide does not list the toddler inventory or a guide rate. Those live on the booking site and move with the date. Open the toddler category, match the age you actually invited, and reserve there. If the birthday kid is eight, you are in the wrong chapter. Go back to the moonwalk catalog.
